Inspired by the Tasmanian Azure Kingfisher, this ink captures one of the most visually arresting birds in Australia’s wilderness. Electric blue plumage flashes across riverbanks, edged with depth and shadow, while the warm breast tones burn softly in contrast.

Azure Kingfisher translates that spectacle to the page.

The base opens as a vibrant aquatic blue, shifting between light aqua and teal in finer strokes, deepening toward royal blue in broader applications. A restrained red sheen borders heavier writing on suitable paper, adding contrast without overpowering the core colour.

Suspended throughout is a golden shimmer that catches the light and refracts into subtle green highlights, echoing the iridescent quality of the bird’s feathers. The result is layered but controlled. Expressive, yet composed.

For 2026, Azure Kingfisher retains its exact colour profile, now produced using our refined manufacturing process:
