Dark and Stormy - An Inkwash Painting by Belinda Rix, Utilizing Hanging Lake from The Wilderness Series

This Inkwash Paiting was done by Belinda Rix. With the exception of some black line work, Belinda used only brushes and water to mix the inks. The final work was dried with a hair dryer, a technique learned from Ryn Shell.

The bulk of the ocean waves and the sails of the ship were done with Hanging Lake, our ink of the day, from The Wilderness Series. The seas were also done with Blackened Seas from the Midnight Series.

The remainder of the ship was done with Nutmeg, from Harvest, Black Truffle and Blackened Seas.

The mist and foreground rocks were done with Morning Frost from Tassie Seasons and Federation Peak, also from The Wilderness Series.

The background rocks were done with Black Truffle, from Tassie Seasons.

The skies were done with Hailstorm, from Tassie Seasons, and Federation Peak.
